Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
I have been a licensed real estate broker/agent since 2005. I was originally licensed in California where I focused on the Monterey Bay area. I moved to North Carolina, my home state, in 2013 and earned my NC real state brokers license and now focus my efforts in Huntersville, Cornelius,Lake Norman and Charlotte areas.
What is your primary product or service?
My primary product is SERVICE. Along with strong communication skills, I have a laser beam focus on providing my clients with the specific information they need throughout a transaction to feel confident in their decisions.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have actively been in sales for nearly 50 years, from my first job at a hardware store while in high school, to owning a retail jewelry store and now owning a real estate business. My first experience with real estate was in 1884 when I purchased a town home with a business partner. THAT was a learning experience! I found very little guidance from our representative and had to learn things on the fly. That led me to taking a course on real estate buying and investing that actually sparked my interest in the 'business' of buying and selling real estate. I enjoy the research and negotiation required to complete a successful transaction. I admit, though, it is sometimes hard to keep the emotional aspect in check!
