How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Before beginning college, I took apptitude tests that suggested speech pathology would be a good career for my skills and interests. For 11 years, before opening a private practice, I was a Speech-Language Pathologist and head of the Department of the Speech and Hearing at Charlotte Rehabilitation Hospital. I hold a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts degree in Speech Pathology from Florida State University. I hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Hearing and Language Association and a North Carolina state license. I am a Life Member of the North Carolina Speech-Language and Hearing Association and a member of the American Speech, Hearing and Language Association.
