What is your primary product or service?
Free apartment locating assistance, relocation, apartment and area tours. Both local and out of state. Individual or Corporate.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I began working in the apartment industry at the early age of 14, where I became the top producer while still in my first month of training. Before completing high school, I went on to break the company's nationwide records all while working part-time. At the age of 21, I opened and managed my first office, and two years later, another firm recruited me to expand its business into a new territory. In 2001, at the age of 25, I became the founder and owner of Apartment Homes TLC.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
The people at Apartment Homes TLC want their customers to have an experience with them and think, "Wow, there's something distinctively different about that company,"-something that makes you feel at home, knowing that you matter. Apartment Homes TLC is different because Angela, the founder and owner of the company, never set out to be a business owner. In fact, it happened by default when Angela couldn't find a company that she could align her "old-fashioned" values with. There is nothing traditional about how Apartment Homes TLC does business. Angela adds, "We're not governed by cash flow charts or return on investment models, but rather by the Golden Rule, and we've found it to be the secret to our success. We strive to put others first, and by doing so we discover the best within ourselves. It is through what we gain by serving others that provides us the means to magnify our positions."
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
1 location here in Charlotte, NC. We are currently packaging our company database/systems/training style to franchise.
Provide detailed directions to your location
Take exit #61 off I-485 and go south on Johnston Road. Turn right onto John J. Delaney Drive and our building is on the right just after the Texaco and the Courtyard Mariott. We are Appointment Only.
What type of payments do you accept?
For area/apartment tours we accept cash or check. The remainder of our services are at no cost.
Which areas do you service?
Charlotte and surrounding areas. Typically within about 1/2 hour or 45 minutes outside of the Center City (Uptown) area.
